Chadi Lazreq

Born in 2012, Chadi Lazreq comes from a family of musicians and has had a particular interest in music from an early age.

Fascinated by keyboards of all kinds, Chadi began studying the accordion at the age of 6, before moving on to the piano and harpsichord, which he is currently studying in Chiaopin Kuo's class at the Conservatoire d'Alfortville in France.

For the past three years, Chadi has been a member of the Sotto Voce Children's Choir, directed by Scott Alan Prouty, with whom he regularly performs on stage in the most prestigious Parisian venues (Théâtre du Châtelet, Salle Gaveau, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, etc.).

In 2019, at the Festival Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence, Chadi drew the attention of audiences and critics alike thanks to his remarkable performance in the famous production of Mozart's Requiem conducted by Raphaël Pichon with his Pygmalion ensemble and staged by Romeo Castellucci ("impressive Chadi Lazreq", says Télérama).

Chadi is also taking part in the revival of this Requiem at the Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie in Brussels ("Chadi Lazreq, a ten-year-old boy with a happy face but an angelic voice miraculous in its accuracy and intensity", enthuses La Libre Belgique), at the Palau de la Música in Valencia (Scherzo magazine hails the "poise and emotion of the young soprano Chadi Lazreq") and at the Philharmonie de Paris.
