Ambroisine Bré studied singing at the CRR in Paris, then at the CNSM (Yves Sotin's class) in 2013. She went on to win several opera competitions and awards in 2017 (4 prizes at the ‘Mozart de l'Opéra’ at the TCE, the Grand Prix Duo Chant-Piano at the Nadia & Lili Boulanger International Competition with pianist Qiaochu Li, she is also an Adami Classical Revelation and a Royaumont Foundation laureate). In 2019, she was nominated in the Revelations category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique awards.

Her career has taken off under the baton of Christophe Rousset, Marc Minkowski, Laurence Equilbey, Hervé Niquet, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Vincent Dumestre, Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Thomas Hengelbrock and others.

He has already appeared on several major European stages: Wiener Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, Prague National Theatre, Philharmonie du Luxembourg, Berlin Staatsoper, Opéra de Lille, Opéra de Bordeaux, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Opéra National du Rhin, La Monnaie de Bruxelles, Festival de Radio France, Festival Berlioz, Festival de Deauville, Festival de la Chaise Dieu, Festival de Beaune, Festival de Menton, Opéra-Comique, Opéra de Limoges, Opéra de Saint-Etienne, La Scala de Milan, Opéra de Lausanne... in numerous roles including Lazuli/l'Etoile by Chabrier; Cherubino/Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina/Don Giovanni, Sesto/La Clemenza di Tito, Dorabella/Cosi Fan Tutte; Flora/La Traviata; Mercédès/Carmen; la Mère, la Libelulle et la Tasse Chinoise/L'Enfant et les Sortilèges ; Urbain/Les Huguenots by Meyerbeer, Mallika/Lakmé, Dorothée/Cendrillon, Virtu et Ottavia/Le Couronnement de Poppée, the title role in Andromaque, Néris/Médée by Cherubini, Le Prince Charmant/Cendrillon etc.

She is particularly fond of recitals with Bertrand Chamayou, Ismaël Margain, Johan Farjot, David Bismuth, Mathilde Calderini, the Hanson Quartet, the Quatuor Hermès, Geneviève Laurenceau and others.

In concert, she can be heard with Les Talens Lyriques (London's Wigmore Hall), Le Concert de la Loge, Ensemble Jupiter, Le Poème Harmonique and others. In June 2024 she returned to the Opéra-Comique for the title role in Lully's Armide (conductor: Christophe Rousset), then sang Ruggiero/Alcina (Les Epopées, Festival de Beaune). In 2024-25 she appeared in a Jommelli programme conducted by Ian Page (Wigmore Hall), Mercédès/Carmen (dir. Hervé Niquet) & Aréthuse-La Paix/Proserpine (dir. Christophe Rousset) at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, and more. His recordings include Mozart's Great Mass in C (Les Musiciens du Louvre/Marc Minkowski, Pentaton).

In early 2022, she published her first solo CD of Mélodies et Airs d'opéras, with a new generation of French artists (Mathilde Calderini, Ismaël Margain, Julien Dran, Anaïs Gaudemard and the Quatuor Hanson) and recorded Climène/Egisto (Le Poème Harmonique/Vincent Dumestre) and Galathée/Acis et Galathée by Lully (Les Talens Lyriques/Christophe Rousset).
