Lyric tragedy, romantic opera and contemporary inspiration

The 25/26 season will offer titles inspired by ancient myths, folk tales and Romantic literature, continuing the ‘Goethe’ and ‘Tragédie lyrique’ cycles. Gluck, Donizetti, Offenbach, Massenet, Krása and our contemporary Matthias Pintscher demonstrate the extent to which opera, shaped by creators from diverse horizons, constitutes a vast territory of exchange at the heart of Europe, served up by the visions of Lotte de Beer, Wajdi Mouawad, Muriel Mayette-Holtz, Pierre Dumoussaud, Raphaël Pichon, Speranza Scappucci...

The greatest voices on the operatic stage will be on hand this season to thrill you: Tamara Bounazou, Pene Pati, Marianne Crebassa, Julie Roset, Michaël Spyres, Sabine Devieilhe, Lea Desandre in an exceptional Christmas concert.

Finally, savour the voices of soloists accompanied at the piano in the Salle Favart with the recitals L'Amour du chant and the duos Stéphane Degout & Cédric Tiberghien, Cyrille Dubois & Tristan Raës, Stéphanie d'Oustrac & Pascal Jourdan, Julie Roset & Susan Manoff.

The emergence of tomorrow's talent

Lucidity, compassion, justice, hope, solidarity: these values guide the artistic journey of the young members of the Maîtrise Populaire, giving them the energy they need to fill us with wonder. You'll find them on stage with Brundibár (Hans Krása), and in the operas Werther and Nuit sans aube, not forgetting Petite Balade aux Enfers, public classes and concerts.

The Académie de l'Opéra-Comique supports a new generation of performers as they perfect their skills, guaranteeing the continuity and development of French singing. They will perform in the opera Werther (Jules Massenet), a show about Offenbach, masterclasses, participatory and educational recitals or recitals dedicated to the very young.

Whether you're a loyal spectator or a curious visitor, let yourself be seduced by the richness and diversity of the shows on offer. Explore our programme designed with you in mind and, above all, open the doors of the theatre: it's waiting for you!
