After studying saxophone, piano and choral conducting, Benoît Rameau turned to opera singing. He joined Opera Fuoco's opera workshop, the Académie musicale P. Jaroussky, and graduated with a Master's degree from the CNSMDP.

In concert, he is soloist in Henry/Beethoven's Tenth Symphony at the Philharmonie de Paris, and in Stravinsky's Pulcinella with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. He is also a member of Les Arts Florissants, with whom he collaborates regularly.

Benoît Rameau won four prizes at the Gordes Melodies Competition (2021). He was also a candidate in the Hugo Wolf Wettbewerb and a finalist in the Nadia & Lili Boulanger competition in a duo with J. Barnoin. In 2023, he won 1st prize for melody at the Marmande competition, as well as the Présence compositrice prize and the Lyrichorégra20 - Québec prize.

His recent seasons have been marked by several premieres, including Narcisse by J. Stephenson and M. Pellissier and Zylan ne chantera plus by D. Soh at the Opéra de Lyon. He also sings works from the operatic repertoire (Pelléas et Mélisande at the Opéra de Lyon, L'Infedelta delusa/Haydn with the Petite Bande, Croesus/Keiser with the Ensemble Diderot, Von Heute auf Morgen/Schönberg, Les Trois Baiser du Diable/Offenbach at the Musica Nigella festival, Chimène/Sacchini with ARCAL, Die Fledermaus/J. Strauss directed by N. Raab, Le nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte...) and musicals (Kiss me, Kate/C. Porter, Lady in the Dark, K. Weill). In 2023/24, he sang in Les Ailes du désir by O. Louati on tour throughout France.
