Jordan Gudefin was discovered during the prestigious international conducting competition of Besançon in 2017. He reached the final round. He then began his conducting career.

From 2016 to 2018, he was the assistant conductor to David Zinman, Dennis Russell Davies, and Fabien Gabel for the Orchestre Français des Jeunes. In 2017, he assisted Francois Xavier Roth at the Opera Comique in the production of Le Timbre d’argent by Camille Saint-Saëns with Les Siècles orchestra. In 2018, he joined Francois Xavier Roth again at the cologne opera in the production of Die Soldaten by Bernd Aloïs Zimmermann. His opera debut was in 2019 with la Grande Duchesse de Gerolstein by Jacques Offenbach with the Gürzenich Köln orchester. Since 2017, he has been the musical director of the Orchestre Philharmonique du coge in Paris.

Jordan Gudefin is invited to guest conduct several orchestras such as Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre national de Lyon, Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, Orchestre Régional Cannes PACA, Orchestre de chambre de paris, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Rouen, and Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne.

During his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in Alain Altinoglu’s conducting studio, he had the opportunity to learn from Esa-Pekka Salonen, Mikko Franck, Susanna Malkki, and Paavo Jarvi. He collaborated with renowned ensembles, including Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and Ensemble intercontemporain.

He received several diplomas in orchestral conducting, style composition, and music education (diplôme d’état).

Alongside his conducting activities, Jordan Gudefin composes for various instrumentations. His works are performed all over the world. In 2016, he received a prize from banque populaire for his compositions.

Jordan Gudefin is an honorary citizen of his native town Saint Rémy.
