Dutch tenor Linard Vrielink holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Universität der Künste (UdK) in Berlin and is a former member of the Opernstudio at Staatsoper Berlin, where he worked with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, Marc Minkowski and Zubin Mehta.

Recent engagements include his debut at the 2021 Festival d’Aix-en-Provence as Seemann/Hirt in Tristan und Isolde with Sir Simon Rattle, Beethoven’s Symphony no 9 with the Noord Nederlands Orkest, Schubert’s Mass in A flat with Insula Orchestra and Laurence Equilbey in Rouen, Don Basilio/Le Nozze di Figaro at Staatsoper Hamburg, Schubert's Stabat Mater and Beethoven's Mass in c-Major with Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensembles, Bach’s Messe in h-moll with Ivor Bolton and the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensembles and Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic. With Ensemble Pygmalion and Raphaël Pichon he has recorded works by W. A. Mozart for Harmonia Mundi.

Highlights in 2021/22 include the male lead role in the world premiere of Peter Eötvös’s new opera Sleepless at Staatsoper Berlin and Grand Théâtre de Genève, concerts with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic in works by Haydn and Giordano, Schumann’s Paradies und die Peri with Staatskapelle Berlin and Sir Simon Rattle, Bach’s Matthäus Passion with the Residentie Orkest and Peter Dijkstra, Fenton/Lustige Weiber von Windsor at Staatsoper Berlin and his return to Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in a new opera production.
