Three centuries of French love songs form an idyll for mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre and lutenist Thomas Dunford. From Marc-Antoine Charpentier to Claude Debussy, not forgetting Françoise Hardy and Barbara, all these inspired artists come together to share their love of song and beautiful stories.

Opera star Gaëlle Arquez performs Les Nuits d'été, six songs composed by Hector Berlioz to poems by Théophile Gautier. She is accompanied on piano by Susan Manoff, a specialist in French mélodie.
