The Victoires de la Musique Classique 2025 2025 ceremony, broadcast live on France Musique and France 3 from the Opéra de Rouen Normandie, singled out Julie Roset in the Revelation Lyric Artist category.
The soprano, at the Opéra-Comique in Samson from 17 to 23 March, recently took part in the programme Fauteuil d'orchestre alongside Louis Langrée, the institution's director. She makes regular appearances in shows and concerts.
George Benjamin's contemporary opera Picture a day like this, co-produced by the Opéra-Comique, also won in the Recording category. After its premiere at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, the work was performed in November 2024 at the Opéra-Comique with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France conducted by the composer.
